This bubbly beverage isn't just a light and vibrant alternative to soda – it will tickle the nose of everyone who quaffs it. The five-minute recipe is adapted from Colleen Mullaney's Fairy Parties: Recipes, Crafts, and Games for Enchanting Celebrations
(Chronicle Books, 2010), a guidebook on how to throw a creative, unique, and successful children's party. Hint: The drinks are just the beginning.
Ingredients:
Lemon wedge
Pink sugar sprinkles
1 liter strawberry- or lemon-flavored sparkling water, chilled
1 liter pink lemonade, chilled
4 cups ice cubes
6 fresh strawberries, hulled and quartered (optional)
Directions:
1. Wet the rims of 6 glasses by rubbing them with the lemon wedge. Pour the pink sugar into a saucer and dip the moistened rim of each glass in the sugar to coat.
2. In a punch bowl, combine the sparkling water and lemonade. Add the ice cubes. Garnish with strawberries.
